Eating our way through France

We are back from our gastronomic extravaganza in France
We travelled from restaurant to bistro to terrace.

Eating our way through one of the best countries in the world for food
Exceptional culinary experiences from breakfast to lunch to diner.
We were quite simply in foodie heaven, the aroma of herbs, the flavour of sauces, the soft and crispy bread, the melting butter.
Good wines, the odd aperitif in the sunset hours, a five course degustation
We take eating very seriously, especially here, focusing on the flavours, textures, combinations.
The well laid tables, the glittering glasses and excellent tableware, the crisp tablecloths.
The professional, knowledgeable waiters, the sommelier introducing us to a new wine.
The genius in the kitchen.

This is where we like to be when we are on holiday.
Now I have a plateful of glorious memories
a notebook full of recipes
and a file of foodie photos.
As well as a few extra kilos

All absolutely worth it.
Please, do, eat your way through France. – it comes highly recommended

Restaurant review L’Amandine

L’Amandine

Salon de Thé – Restaurant
chef. Myriam Cadet
host. Hugo Eenhoorn

This little place in Bussum, The Netherlands is worth a visit
If you are ever in the area  visit this a charming little tea house where lunch is as pleasant as it is in France.

Stop by if you are parched and just need a cup of tea or linger longer for lunch or dinner.

They have a sound menu where even the vegan is catered for, order a sandwich, a full hot meal or a delightful plate of grilled vegetables at any time of day.

We sampled them all and they are all delightful.
The food is of a high standard, the dishes are all cooked to order. The Chef, Myriam Cadet knows what she is doing in her little kitchen. No fast food here, just French dishes done well.

We will be returning whenever we are in Bussum. I highly recommend this little gem.
